  1. CCL Ambassador John Heald addressed the whole banning of the ducks, to which has stated the CCL has NO intention to ban or remove the ducks from the CCL cruise ships.

I for one am a full supporter of Donald and Donald juniors being hidden about the ship.  I don't intentionally go out seeking them but I do stumble across 1 per cruise and it puts a huge smile on my face each time....and I'm a grown adult, what more for kids.

  4. Every year I see larger and larger cruise ships come out.  The newest one from RCL Icon of the Seas which carries 7,000 guests and with a full crew a total of 10,000 people. Good God that's a lot of people.

Frankly it would make me nervous to cruise on a ship that large one super wave or super strong winds would make it rock to no end.

Then the logistics of truly not being able to see or do everything on the ship or how about trying to get to one venue that is aft deck 20 to anothe venue fwd deck 6 ugh. Trying to find and get to things would be a workout of its own. I would be exhausted 😩 wonder if it comes with scooters or the moving walkways 🤣

It just seems silly to me to spend $2 billion on 1 ship when you could split that in 3rds and have 3 magnificent ships with more and new exciting itineraries.

I'm curious what your thoughts are...

  5. @Kendall James-Vargas well ... i guess im in-between you and your hubby as I usually start packing about a week out and finalize 2 days prior.

Yes you are crazy, but we already knew that 🤣🥰

I strategically booked both cruises so i would be able to experience vastly different stuff on board. I think ive done wisely and certain i will enjoy each for what each has to offer.

I think it will be hard to say which I like better as both are so different and I will probably like many things from both of them.

starting to now look at feb-March 2025 but really not sure what i want to do....maybe out of hmmmm i don't know 😕

  6. @Cruising Caribbean I agree its great meeting new people and finding out how small our world really is when we bump into them or even planning future trips with them. You should do a solo it's really nice being able to be the captain of the ship 🤣 and do as you please, when you please. I'm sure meet some fun people on Mardi Gras in Feb... FYI I will be on Firenze Sept 7 out of Long Beach just incase you decide to head this way 😉

  7. Yeah I hear you about a dose of reality on disembarkation. I have to admit CCL dose treat me well I always make my flights and one of my perks is free laundry which is super.

Last time they had a private waiting area with coffee juices and pastries while we waited. Which just rubbed salt in the wound of leaving the ship 😂

    You're not Platinum??

  8. Previously the removal of the "David" statue from the Carnival Pride was discussed in length by many here. Yes I was one of the contributors and was on the Pride when it was still on the ship.

I recently read that since the removal from the Pride, the David statue is suppose to be relocated onto the Italian Fun Ship Firenze during it dry dock prior to relocating to Long Beach port.

I will be cruising on the Firenze in September this year and curious to see if it's on board. It seems fitting to be on an Italian themed ship.

What are your thoughts about the return of that David statue and being on an Italian Fun Ship???

  9. I don't think it's lame... you like it so why not. Everyone likes different things so if you're going on vacation do what makes you happy.

Yes eastern Caribbean visiting San Juan, Grand Turk and Amber Cove. Never been to any of them.

San Juan hired private driver for 4 hours to take me around, Amber Cove I hired a private driver for 5 hours, and Grand Turk hired a private boat to take me to the coral reef to go snorkeling then dive for conch to have fresh conch then to remote island to swim with sting rays

  10. @Cruising Caribbean I really should have title it for anyone not just solos. I think it would be a hoot to meet some of the board members, have a cocktail and couple laughs. I always seem to attract and connect with different groups and people/strangers during my cruises then keep in touch with them afterwards. It must be my charming smile 😃 🤣 or maybe it my cologne 🤔 actually i have a pretty outgoing personality love to joke and laugh which makes it easier to travel solo and fits perfectly on a cruise ship....at least I think so.

  11. @Cruising Caribbean yes my February cruise to Caribbean is quickly approaching and I'm starting to get a little excited...just a little, have to hold myself back or inwill end up day dreaming all the time 😆

I actually can use my free balcony offers for voyages out of the U.S. and extended cruises however it's a time constraint issue for me as I like to take multiple cruises per year. I have a high stress position and need multiple breaks throughout the year for my own sanity.

I am looking forward to the Mardi Gras as that will be the largest ship I've been on and also looking forward to the Firenze as it's looks and feels so different and more up scale compared to the normal CCL ship and its close so travel is an hour flight.

  12. @RoadTravelled you are correct that the last ive heard the 2nd MDR dish is free and 3rd has a $5 charge.

Regarding the chocolate melting cake size I will the 1st to say that ive been one of those that would not finish it as it is so heavy and rich... and have to watch my girlish figure🤣 just kidding!!! I know shame on me! I welcome the smaller portion as I won't feel so bad about leaving half uneaten.

I do wish they would return the jumbo shrimp cocktail vs. The miniature shrimp cocktail

  13. @3Sisters it's so easy for people to focus on the negatives that happen. I have learned that "crying over spilt milk" can't change anything, is a buzz kill, and ultimately you must clean it up. Yes its okay to be disappointed but then it's time to pull up the big boy pants find fun things to do and enjoy the time the best you can, as it's out of one's control.  A person has a two choices be unhappy about what can't be changed or be happy and enjoy the ride. I prefer to take it in stride and be happy and enjoy the ride.

  14. @Cruising Caribbean im surprised so few people know about the S.T.E.P. program.  I'm happy.to hear that you are spreading the word.  I wasn't sure if people knew about it thus I posted about here just in case.

Glad I was able to share with you and @Kendall James-Vargas about the credit card.

Regarding upcoming cruises I'm scheduled to be on Mardi Gras on Feb 24th out of Orlando the in Sept 7th I will be on the Fun Italian ship Firenze out.of Long Beach.  Starting to look at 2025 cruises to see what, where and when 😆
