What is you favorite part of cruising with Norwegian Cruise Line?

Here are some related tips and tricks for sailing with the cruise line!

We are avid NCL cruisers, our favorite being the European cruises.   However, we are greatly disturbed by NCL’s lack of courteous pre-cruise customer service in planning our next cruise which departs on Feb 6.   This has got to change, or it’s time for us to make a change.

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced several Greek Isles itinerary changes for upcoming cruises. The cruise line didn't give any explanation why the changes were made. It seems like the cruise line has made many itinerary shifts due to environmental factors, such as reducing its carbon footprint.

Does anyone have any insight as to why these changes have occurred? The constant changes seem to be continually disappointing loyal guests.

Agree.   We are loyal guests and have been very disappointed with the changes to our itinerary for our sailing leaving Feb 6 out of NYC.  We booked this cruise based on the stops.
Also, we were totally messed up with our booked excursions for all of the ports.    We are disapponted in NCL’s rudeness to us in seeking answers to what happened.   We were hung up on by their Shore Excursion dept three times.   They seem to care less recently about how they treat returning loyal latitude members.   It may be time to check out Holland again and RCL.

By the way, we sailed the NCL Escape in mid December and did stop at Puerto Plata.   A Cruisehive article I just read mistakenly reported that NCL Escape would not be stopping there in the month of December.  It did.

@Mil That is such a bummer! I'm sure you weren't the only upset guest. Puerto Plata is a nice port of call too! I'm very surprised they didn't offer a substitute or an alternative stop. Other than this event, how was your experience on Norwegian Gateway?

I'm assuming this was not your sailing, but Norwegian Gateway ended up having to cancel a cruise this month. What a shame!

@FJB I completely agree. There are always unfortunate factors that come up, but I don't think it's fair to guests for this to become a normal occurrence. Many cruise guests book a cruise based on a particular itinerary.

Totally agree.  I read something about it being that NCL is trying to reduce their carbon footprint by canceling this port.   We are set to depart on this cruise on the Getaway on Feb 6 and received an email today from our travel agent saying Puerto Plata was cancelled.  Yet we never received an email from NCL directly!  Not cool.
