  1. @DeanneB I agree, taking away jobs is not what the cruise lines should be doing! This can't be the best way to recoup financially. I think keeping interior stateroom prices lower and increasing the costs of specialty staterooms may be the way to go. Although, this idea may hinder the line from filling up those more expensive staterooms. I guess there is a pro and con to everything. Enticing loyal customers to return though, that should be at the top of the list.
  2. @Deborah Ann I think its ironic that the cruise line is increasing its Wi-Fi costs, but the service isn't even all that great to begin with. That is such a bummer that all of the specialty services fill up so quickly. I'm glad you shared that. Now I know if I cruise with Princess Cruises, I need to book asap to get a spot! I agree, cruising should be relaxing, not chaotic. Hopefully the cruise line corrects this issue so you can enjoy the benefits you deserve.
  3. @DeanneB What is your usual go to for duty-free shopping? I tend to spend on gifts for family members, such as their favorite liquor or some fun fashion jewelry.
  4. Although cruise lines are changing lots of their offerings in order to financially recover post shut-down, several cruise lines are also expanding their retail offerings. The retailer Harding has just announced partnerships with 5 different cruise lines! Do you think its is a tactic to encourage guests to spend more, assisting with monetary gains?
  5. Yet again, another cruise line is making changes to its prices. Princess Cruises is increasing its specialty dining and beverage packages. I think this is going to negatively impact returning guests. Do you agree?
  6. @KeithG Keep me posted on your upcoming cruise! I would love to hear your post-cruise feedback. I think cruising in February is the perfect season for good weather, not too hot or too cold.
  7. @Kendall James-Vargas Do you know if this experience costs anything? I would love to explore this "Wonderverse."
  8. @Kendall James-Vargas I also haven't cruised from Norfolk before. I think popularity of cruising from all of the U.S. in general is expanding. It is such a cost efficient and practical way to vacation. It's the only real vacation to me!
  9. @Tanaka Did you end up contacting the recruiter? This seems a bit off. If you got a second interview, then you should get a scheduled confirmation!
  10. @Kendall James-Vargas That's interesting. There are several loyalty member changes happening in such a short amount of time. I wonder if this is an angle to continue to treat its guests after the recent benefit removal, or if this is the beginning of something new. Maybe the cruise line will completely restructure its membership tiers as popularity grows.
  11. @Debbie Miller Was using the shuttle service in Ketchikan inefficient? I wonder if there are less shuttle offerings now, post shut-down, because tourism hasn't fully recovered for that area yet.
  12. @KristineF Yes, I agree. The amount of job loss over the last few years has been tragic. @DeanneB I guess this all has to do with upper management making financial cutbacks. I wonder what they intend to do with the finances instead. Maybe the line is planning to spend it elsewhere.
  13. @KristineF I would say the market is certainly unstable right now. All of my other stocks have totally depreciated. I won't be selling any time soon.
  14. @KristineF It is truly a natural phenomena, trash turned treasure for sure! How do you usually display the sea glass you collect?
  15. @Kendall James-Vargas I have never been on a cruise ship with so many pools! Don't you think it is a little extensive? @DeanneB I would certainly supposed the water is recycled. That's a great question.
  16. @Kendall James-Vargas What are some kid-friendly cruise lines you could recommend?
