Kendall James-Vargas Posted November 20 Posted November 20 As someone who has visited Charleston, South Carolina in the past, and really enjoyed my time, this news is bittersweet. Carnival Cruise Line will no longer be home porting out of Charleston. Carnival Sunshine's final departure from Charleston will be on December 30, 2024. The ship will be dry docked thereafter from January 4 to February 15, 2025. Quote
3Sisters Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Don't worry! Ships will still make day stops there from time to time! CCL had a good run out of Charleston. Quote
euroguy Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Charleston has been struggling with the pier and contract for ccl. This has been an issue for over a year or so and comes with no surprise to me 1 Quote
3Sisters Posted November 21 Posted November 21 @euroguy This is true. The port has had a rocky history with CCL really since the pandemic. It's a really nice port for a day stop though. Charleston is loads of fun, rich in history and culture. I hope cruise guests still consider taking stops there while cruising. Have you cruised out of Charleston in the past? Quote
