MSC World America Shipyard Visit

Hey everyone, so I visited the shipyard in France yesterday to see how the massive news MSC World America was coming along. The ship is in full outfitting mode! Here are a few of the man photos I took.

@Emrys Already, it's looking spectacular just by looking at the pictures. I do love the designs, especially the main look of the ship itself. The curves inside is aesthetically pleasing to see, I certainly can't wait to see the finished look. MSC are doing a lot of things right at the moment, and it's great to see that their reputation is getting better each year.

@Emrys I'm in love! This is such a good insider scoop. It's so cool to see MSC World America coming together! It's crazy to think guests will be sailing onboard in less than one year! Is anyone booked on MSC World America yet? The whole design of this ship is so detailed. I can't wait to see the finished product and get onboard!

It certainly does stir a good impression already. The whole thing just looks sleek and elegant in it's design. And I'm guessing the whole experience of visiting such an iconic shipyard was exciting to see and be part of @Emrys?

@Emrys These are awesome! Is the photo with the colorful lights on the ceiling the new Comedy Club? It seems big enough to be the main theatre too! The atrium is gorgeous.

I'd be interested to go onboard and having a look at the ship. Taking a sneaky peak now and then the finished product will be great to see how much it will be different. I love the design and the overall look of the ship already, and cannot wait to see how it will be completed.

@Emrys Wow look at the Cliffhanger at Sea! That's going to be such a hit for thrill-seeking guests cruising on MSC World America. I'm not sure if I would want to try it, but it's surely an awesome ship addition! It's the first of its kind!

That is definitely not for me. I'm afraid the only thrill seeking I tend to look for on a cruise is the buffet line. I can understand why people would find that a thrill, but my god I wouldn't be going anywhere near that contraption. It's strange how people react differently when it comes to rides, and I'm sure there will be a clear divide on the ship of people that want to give it a go and others who are happy relaxing.

@LukeJ I'm with you on that one. I can't see myself or any of my family members going on that. We are not all that exciting in fairness, and happy to keep our feet on the ground where nature intended.

@thorpemarlene You and me both! Seeing MSC World America come together makes me feel even more excited about the ship. It's going to have some really unique features for the line, and I do think this ship is going to shake up the cruise industry in a good way. Right now, MSC Cruises doesn't dominate. CCL and RCL still take the cake as leaders in the US cruise market, but I see a change underway. MSC Cruises is going to move up the ranks in popularity once this ship gets on the market. The line is making major moves, like enhancing it loyalty program and kicking off its first-ever Alaskan cruise season. Competitors need to watch out!
