euroguy Posted November 16 Posted November 16 (edited) Wow the holidays are quickly approaching which makes time fly by, which means my next cruise is quickly approaching. Departing out of Miami to Feb 1 2026 for 8 days to Aruba, Caracau and Bonaire on the CCL Horizon. Yeah it's not the newest or largest ship but it did just recently come out of dry dock update and is only 10 years old which is young for a ship....lol besides it only cost me $200 (port fees & taxes) for a balcony so what can I complain about 🤣 Anyone else sailing on that date??? @Kendall James-Vargas yes I hear you screaming already about costing only $200... 😎 Edited November 16 by euroguy 1 Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted November 18 Posted November 18 @euroguy I just asked about your next cruise in another post! CCL Horizon here you come! I can't believe you paid $200 for an 8-night balcony cruise. Plus all of the other incentives I know you get, you are totally getting the best rate ever. Does CCL give you a drink package included? Have you been to all of these ports of call before? Aruba is going to be such a beautiful stop. I'm very excited for you. Quote
euroguy Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 @Cruising Caribbean Not just $200, but a $200 unobstructed balcony midship cabin...🤣 I do get FREE drinks everywhere on ship. The only drinks i can't get free is fresh squeezed juices and bottles of wine. Pretty much everything else is fair game i.e sodas, cocktails of all flavors, wine by the glass and Java Blue specialty coffee. 😃 I've not been to Aruba, Bonaire or Caracau so this will be another new ship and destination adventures and February won't be blistering heat. euroguy Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 (edited) @Cruising Caribbean here are some of my recent offers for extended cruises. All the prices are for balcony including taxes and port fees. The crazy part is i get a $200 obc and free drinks everywhere. Edited November 19 by euroguy Quote
euroguy Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 That's just a few have 21 extended cruises ranging from 9 day to 16 day. I also have another offer for 7-8 day free balcony offer listed below... I know crazy!!! Quote
3Sisters Posted November 19 Posted November 19 @euroguy So correct me if I'm wrong but you pay $200, but then are given $200 OBC so it's essentially free. I can't imagine such deals. How many are you allowed to book per year again? Can you bring anyone along for the same price? No Black Friday deal beats this one. Also, you Carnival Horizon cruise will be here before you know it! Did you cruise out of Miami for the last cruise too? It's pretty conveniently located from the airport. I like cruising out of Port Miami. I prefer Port Canaveral, but Port Miami is convenient to fly into. Quote
euroguy Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 @3Sisters yes your math is correct 🤣 As for how many I can take person year... well each offer can be used 3x so if i have 2 offers the i can sail 6 times. Now with that said my current offers expire jan 6 but CCL will renew the offers again for another couple months so the counts start all over again. I think I currently have about 10-15 different offers at the moment. Some are free balcony some are free ocean view some are Ultra and Premier cruises another gives me $1500 obc then the charge me 1350 for a balcony yes that's correct thats a negative $150 in my favor. If I did an ocean view it would be even less and they would be paying me even more to take the cruise plus my free drinks everywhere on the ship. Yes I can bring a guest with me and they cruise for free also... 🤔 Im still single...know any singles that like to travel 😝 My last cruise was out of L.A on Firenze to Mexico 1.5 months ago The cruise prior to last was out odmf port Canaveral on Mardi Gras 1 Quote
3Sisters Posted November 20 Posted November 20 @euroguy That's just incredible. I can't believe you can use these offers six times. Does this mean the offers can be used by multiple people in the stateroom? The offers are itinerary specific or are there different date options included in the offers? Free drinks everywhere on the ship? I'm jealous! I guess it's a play hard mentality. Seriously, even a retired friend would probably enjoy jumping in on the fun with you! Mardi Gras is a big one! Are you thinking of Icon of the Seas next? Have you got an offer for Icon of the Seas yet? Quote
euroguy Posted November 21 Author Posted November 21 I have to sail and my guest has to stay in the same cabin under my booking not separate cabins or seperste booking. With each offer i have a large base of destinations, months and dates to select from. When the initial offer is presented the sail dates, shops, destinations are numerous. as time goes by the availability will decrease as only so many cabins and people are offered the rates I have... so as they get booked by others this will eliminate dates. Currently I have 21 separate sailings availabe for 9 -16 days (balcony) previously I have more and upto 22 days Currently on 7-8 day U.S. based cruises i have currently have166 (balcony) choices to select from. At one point I had around 200 Those number of sailings is only from 2 offers and I have around 10-15 different offers and each offer will have different dates and availability for different t ports and ships. Honestly it takes a bit of effort to figure out which offer to use, dates, ships ports etc Icon of the sea is a royal ship, really haven't been exploring right now. I need to spend some time and contact different t lines to see what they will offer me to try them out. Quote
