Cruising Caribbean Posted November 12 Posted November 12 The awesome Carnival Fun Italian Style ship, Carnival Firenze, will be cruising out of Long Beach in 2026 on multiple 3- and 4-day itineraries. I wish the ship would be offering longer itinerary options in 2026. As someone who has enjoyed Costa Cruises in the past, this is one of those ships I really want to cruise on. However, I'm not willing to fly across the US for a 4-day cruise. I'm waiting for some longer options to get released! Let's hope we see some longer Carnival Firenze itineraries to come in the next batch of releases. Quote
RoadTravelled Posted November 13 Posted November 13 @Cruising Caribbean I don't know where you live, but have you considered cruising on the Firenze's sister ship Venezia out of NYC? Would that be closer to travel for you? In 2026, the Venezia is offering 8-day Caribbean cruises. We sailed on the Venezia last year and it's indeed a beautiful ship — well worth considering. Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 @RoadTravelled I love this recommendation! This is exactly what I would be looking for. Although a Florida port is more convenient for me, I would be able to swing a NYC Carnival Venezia cruise in 2026. Thanks for sharing that idea. How does Carnival Venezia compare to Carnival Firenze? 1 Quote

How does Carnival Venezia compare to Carnival Firenze? @Cruising Caribbean I've not sailed on the Firenze but based on what I can tell, they are identical ships except for the theming — Venice vs. Florence. They are definitely a step up from the typical Carnival ship and have a real feeling of upgrade. Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted November 14 Posted November 14 @RoadTravelled That's a great thought! So far CCL only has the two Carnival Fun Italian Style ships, but who knows, the line may add more! The decor and overall quality of these two ships is enhanced from the typical CCL ship. I love the Florence and Venice decor! It gives a whole new feel to cruising with Carnival! 1 Quote
euroguy Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I have not investigated if Firenze is now only doing shorter cruises in 2026, but if that's true, I'm happy that just couple months ago I got to enjoy a 7 day sailing on it. 1 Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted November 18 Author Posted November 18 @euroguy The majority for 2026 are shorter itineraries. I know you had an excellent cruise on Carnival Firenze, and now I want a chance to get onboard! I'm happy with trying Carnival Venezia too. I would imagine the experience is pretty similar to that of Carnival Firenze. Quote
euroguy Posted November 19 Posted November 19 @Cruising Caribbean i agree with @RoadTravelled that you can go on the Venezia which is the sister ship of Firenze, and get your italian fun ship fix... however the statue of David in MDR can only be seen on Firenze Quote
