Adrian
What do you do with your old Sail & Sign Cards? Any good displays or photos?
3Sisters
@Adrian That's a great question! I'm the worst because I toss them. If someone shares some fun creative ideas maybe I will start storing them, but I have yet to save them! How do you typically store your old Sign & Sail cards? I wonder if @euroguy does anything special with the Sign and Sail cards.
Cruising Caribbean
@Adrian John Heald posted about guest interest in potentially using a Sign & Sail card recycle option. I'm thinking many guests would use a Sign & Sail card disposal area. Do you think the majority of CCL guests save or toss their cruise cards? If you save them, I would think displaying them in some sort of way makes sense! My kids end up using them during pretend play. I typically donate my card to that cause. FJB
I probably have all of my cruise cards except for the very 1st cruise I took. It is fun to occasionally look thru them to recall the good times on each cruise. At this point they are all stacked together with a rubber band just thrown in a desk drawer.

Cruising Caribbean
@Adrian I found this idea! Maybe making a shadow box is a great way to save your Sign & Sail cards. I personally don't like the idea of saving wrist bands, but if you like saving them you could do that in the box too. Do you like the idea of making a shadow box for your Sign & Sail cards? euroguy
@3Sisters you made me laugh as I sit snoozing on the post and you throw my name into the mix 🤣
3Sisters
@euroguy No time to snooze! Your perspective is super appreciated. You are like the CCL guru when it comes to stuff like this! I figured you would save the cards as memories. Am I right?
euroguy
@3Sisters well I have not done this however it has crossed my mind. You could get a nice wind chime remove the item that is at the bottom of the strings that wind blows on to make it chime and could drill a small hole on each CCL card and tie it to the strings of the wind chime. Or you could use the frame backing board from the frame size to your liking and make a collage by gluing cards to the backing g board in different directions and may even throw in a few smaller (approx same size as SS Card) scenery pics from trips. Once all done put in nice frame and hang. Depending on size you could make a couple smaller ones and or medium size one and hand the. In guest bathroom at your home. That would be fun for your guest to see. How is that for creativity 🤔
Adrian
Shadow box not a bad idea....Wind chime a lil too much work for me. I guess anything is better than sitting in my drawer
3Sisters
@euroguy See, that's marvelous! That's a crafty idea. Now I want to see a photo of you implementing that! A Sign and Sail wind chime. I wonder if Carnival sells something as a way to store past cruise cards. You could always store them like baseball cards, but that's sort of lame. It's like a way to store them instead of a way to display them. @Adrian The wind chime does sound like a bit of work, but I bet it would come out really cool. Sometimes you have to put in the work to make something really innovative and timeless. I think a craft is a must for creatively storing the cards.
