Cruising Caribbean Posted August 21 Posted August 21 (edited) Yet another Icon Class ship will be joining the high seas. I still haven't cruised on Icon of the Seas before. The itinerary prices have been through the roof in my opinion. Icon of the Seas has been a hit since its launch. Do you think the prices are really worth the hype? I know Star of the Seas will basically be an enhanced version of Icon, but I haven't cruise on a ship like this before. I may feel overstimulated! The design is next level, but do you really get to experience it all when onboard such an immense ship? Edited August 21 by Cruising Caribbean Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Those RCL ships are so surreal! It doesn't even seem like a ship to me. It's crazy how lovely Icon Class ships are. It looks like paradise! The design of these ships is really unbeatable. I think the prices are worth it, even though I wouldn't splurge to be on such a ship. I would splurge to cruise on a luxury line on an epic itinerary. That's more worth it to me. Anyone who has cruised on this ship has said it's worth the hype. I guess the only way to really know is to get onboard and see for myself! The prices will hopefully go down a bit once Star of the Seas cruises out with guests. I have even heard it doesn't feel crowded which is unbelievable to me! Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted August 27 Author Posted August 27 Not only is Star of the Seas coming your way, but so is the fourth Icon Class ship that has been officially ordered. It should be welcoming guests by 2027. Both the third and fourth Icon Class ships are unnamed at this time, but I will keep an eye for names in the coming months. What do you think a good name could be for these two next Icon Class ships? I'm thinking Light of the Seas and Shine of the Seas! Do you think those are good guesses? Quote
Kendall James-Vargas Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Those are some fun ship names! They are true potentials. If I had to guess, I'm thinking one of the upcoming Icon Class ships could be named Glow of the Seas. Maybe it's far fetched, but it seems to go with the theme. I wonder how lines come up with ship names anyhow. I would love if RCL would ask for guest name suggestions! I would submit mine for fun! The winner could earn a free cruise! Wouldn't that be exciting? Quote
3Sisters Posted September 2 Posted September 2 What about Twilight of the Seas? I think RCL is going for astrological names with this Icon Class of ships. I don't really think that he names Icon and Star really go together, but I like when the class of ships has a theme. It makes the class more cohesive. Glow of the Seas is pretty catchy. Quote
Cruising Caribbean Posted September 4 Author Posted September 4 Everyone is on the same track here. It's like celestial names may be in the fleet's future. Speaking of, I wonder if Celestial of the Seas would be a good name. I would like to get on one of these ships in the future, but I need to start saving! Getting on one of these is double what I typically spend. Quote
3Sisters Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Icon of the Seas is now fully repaired, ready for guests. Unfortunately this isn't the first set of repairs for the ship. Hopefully there aren't any more issues with it this year. It's brand new! Quote
