pma29223
We will be going on a cruise next year. It will be me, my husband, and our 13 year old daughter. How would Carnival set our room up? I know Carnival will probably put two beds together for me and my husband, but would my daughter have a bunk bed?
RoadTravelled
@pma29223 The setup depends on which cabin you book. There are multiple types of bed configurations available. Here is a snapshot of the typical types: So, the options for your daughter range from a single sofa bed, double sofa bed, an upper pullman (pull-down from the ceiling), or convertible bunk. When you book, select the cabin you wish for your needs from the deck plan using the symbol chart. As an example, click here to see the one for the Carnival Legend. If the cabin does not have any of these symbols, it means you typically would have 2 twins (convertible to king) and just a sofa (not a bed). When you book, you can go into your reservation and indicate how you want the 2 twins to be setup (separate or combined). And, your cabin steward will have everything ready upon your arrival based on the number of occupants. Hope that helps.
3Sisters
@RoadTravelled That's a great response! It's very thorough! @pma29223 Which type of stateroom did you book? Typically the bunk pops up from overhead. That's typical of an interior or ocean view cabin. If you have a nicer stateroom, you may have other options.
Kendall James-Vargas
@pma29223 That's likely correct! It all depends on the stateroom type you booked. Do you know what type of stateroom you booked? For a king bed, you will have two beds pushed together, but for your daughter there are other options. Standard rooms come with two options bunks that fold over the lower bed/beds. You can always put in a certain request if you prefer. Edited August 16 by Kendall James-Vargas
