3Sisters
I have been keeping an eye on "Four", and it's not looking promising. Between Four and Hurricane Carlotta, there may be so itineraries affected in both the Atlantic and Pacific. For those cruising out soon, I would keep a close eye on these storms. Is anyone cruising out of Florida this weekend? It looks like the Tampa Bay area is going to get lots of rain and winds! Kendall James-Vargas
Once it was four and now it's Tropical Storm Debby. You were surely right about Tropical Storm Debby! Many ship itineraries were impacted by this storm. Carnival Paradise was significantly delayed, and Symphony of the Seas had to make an itinerary change due Tropical Storm Debby. I'm hooping now that it has made landfall it will die down a bit. You just never know with these storms!
Cruising Caribbean
Tropical Storm Debby isn't done yet! I thought after it made landfall it would die down some, but it really hasn't. Although it's just a tropical storm, the amount of rainfall is causing lots of flooding, and now it's starting to bring in significantly heavy rainfall in the Carolinas. I have family there so I'm keeping a very close watch on this storm. I would keep an eye on Tropical Storm Emilia and Tropical Storm Fabio in the Pacific too. Thankfully they are currently trending away from the coast.
Kendall James-Vargas
Well Tropical Storm Debby isn't done yet. Typically tropical storms would have died down by now! I happen to think it's wild it has dissipated already. It's already caused enough havoc in the cruise world. I'm ready for it to be gone! Both North Carolina and South Carolina are experiencing flooding, and Debby has caused delays for Carnival Sunshine that's homeported in Charleston. 3Sisters
This week's storm front has been pretty clear. This must mean @FJB's cruise will hopefully be in the clear if it remains this way! Although we have Tropical Storm Gilma brewing out in the Pacific, it's not really a threat out there and likely won't make landfall. It's pretty unlikely to see this notification in the Atlantic this time of year. Edited August 21 by 3Sisters
Kendall James-Vargas
It looks like another clear hurricane week. Thankfully the disturbances out in the Atlantic Ocean right now shouldn't turn into much of anything over the weekend. The Pacific Ocean also looks nice and calm for cruisers this weekend. Hopefully next week follows the same trend.
