Kids Welcome on Virgin Voyages?

I was really hopeful it was true! Virgin Voyages is welcoming "kids" onboard to cruise for free with their family. Unfortunately the kids welcome onboard are 18-26 year olds. Since I always cruise with my family, I was so excited for the opportunity to cruise with my littles and bring them along to try out this new lines, but it seems it's too good to be true. Anyone with grown children should totally take advantage of this promotion. To me, it's such a steal and also a great marketing strategy for the line.

Wouldn't that have been nice? I agree that this is a smart promotion for Virgin Voyages. It will attract another type of clientele, one that's a little bit younger than the typical age bracket. I would think Virgin Voyages has been attracting an older average guest age and the line is looking to attract the younger generations too. Typically, when a line is adults-only it becomes a retiree cruise line, and I don't think that was the goal for Virgin Voyages. Hopefully this promotion is well received and gets more younger faces to cruise with Virgin Voyages.

Dud anyone take advantage of this deal? It's really a steal if you are in the right predicament. I don't have grown children so unfortunately this offer doesn't apply to me. I wish the line would be open to kids at some point. Maybe some of ships welcome kids and others don't. It just limits the lines customer base when it's strictly adults-only. Many cruise lines aren't adults-only but they don't really have any child-friendly amenities. Those lines just strictly attract adults regardless. If you don't have a water slide, don't expect any young families.
