I was on the Magic ship this spring and was on deck one. There was a scooter in the hall all the time. I left the deck and came back several hours later to see the same scooter parked in the hall. I called guest services and reported it with the cabin number.  I left later and the scooter was gone. Either they were told to move it or they were out for the day. That evening, the scooter was outside the cabin again and again, I called guest services. Nothing was done because I left my cabin at 7AM and that darn scooter was still in the hallway. The cabin attendants were cleaning and changing towels and I squeezed between their carts and the scooter and cut my leg on the scooter! I went straight to guest services and advised them that the scooter had not be put in the cabin and that I had addressed this issue several times already. They assured me that they would handle the situation. When I retired for the evening, the scooter was out in the hall but they had their cabin door open as though they had just gotten to their place. I checked two hours later, about midnight, and guess what?!  That scooter was still in the hallway. I stopped calling guest services because they apparently didn't care about the rules. VERY disappointed

@Rosie Thanks for sharing your perspective here. Unfortunately, this is more common than you think. This isn't a priority to the cabin crew (most of the time), and it's really because sometimes guests don't comply. Keeping guests happy is a top priority. I feel very sad that the rules are in place but not respected. I don't think the rules should be disregarded. It's a shame that nothing was done about your complaint, but I'm not surprised about it. If the guests don't listen, what should the cruise line do at that point? It's such a taboo topic right now.

@Rosie That would have annoyed me too! It just seems like the crew didn't care much about that. It is a hazard when scooters (or anything that large) are left in the halls. I think scooters end up being an exception. If I left my baby stroller in the halls, I would have been contacted about that. I just think those with scooters end up getting a pass even though it isn't allowed. I don't get it.
