P&O Cruises Australia Closing Down

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately P&O Cruises Australia will be closing down and will be absorbed into CCL. Many P&O Cruises Australia itineraries have been canceled due to this brand dissolving. Pacific Explorer is the last of the fleet to be transferred to Carnival Caribbean Line, after a February 2025 sailing slated to disembark in Singapore. Lots of rebranding and refurbishing will take place upon the ships transferring to CCL. Was anyone impacted by these changes? P&O Cruises Australia was surely a great brand!

I actually had a feeling that Carnival would do something about one of its P&O brands. It can't be nice for those down under, but I can certainly see why Carnival decided to do this.

@Emrys Your feeling was correct! Thankfully there are other good options from cruising in/out of Australia. It's a shame this P&O brand has to go, but I can imagine Carnival has big plans. I never had the opportunity to cruise P&O Cruises Australia, but I'm hopeful other brands will still offer magnificent itineraries to the land down under. image.thumb.png.70c50ffaaf11ab462657ab84ec7fa518.pngApparently Australia's cruise industry is expecting lots of growth! The area's cruise guest capacity is up by 24% over 2023, and that's a pretty significant jump.
