WARNING, Due to a covid testing mistake on the virtuosa 2 of our group ended up on the QE2 in appalling condition for 10days after the dubai cruise last week and MSC refused to accept responsibility. Yet the QE2 is full of families that contracted covid on board.
MSC done nothing to isolate the staff we had close contact with so are possible still spreading it.
They put money before our safety, you have to pay for a special covid taxi to move you and pay for your TESTS. After 10days they test you and if your partner then tests positive you have another 10days ahead, fact that there are currently a couple with 2 young children spending Christmas and new year in a cabin with no opening window for what could be 40 days, we have contacted our MP and the British embassy, prisons have better condition, DO NOT CATCH IT ON BOARD UNLESS YOU WANT TO JOIN THEM AND MSC TURN THERE BACK ON YOU 😡

MSC DIVINA has 108 recognised cases aboard since the 30th of December,  new arrivals onboard were not tested until day 2 of the cruise,  covid was detected 2 days after they had boarded.  Divina has not done another test on passenger since the 28th of December,  they are testing the crew,  2 days ago 10 crew members were tested as positive,  the reason we have such low figures is that the passengers have not been tested since the 28th of December,  if they don't test people they have no idea how much covid we actually have aboard,  if they did test people I am sure we would be over the acceptable percentage to go into any port.  We just left Roatan, to bulk out our cruise we are now going east from Roatan,  the trouble is our next port of call is Costa Mayo which is north of Roatan,  we have been told we have 2 days at sea from Roatan to Costa Mayo,  of course we do if we head east for 24 hours then steam west for 24 hours at a speed of 6.5 knots.  We are being treated like idiots by a greedy unscrupulous corporate company.

For the MSC Divina, I asked a crew member wearing a suit and plastic face shield, last night 12/31/2021, if it was true that approximately 200 people aboard the Divina were being isolated.  He said yes give or take a few numbers between passengers and crew. He said that not all tested positive but the positive ones who had close contact, ie family members, are being isolated also.  They are not being isolated in a cabin with no windows as someone has stated. They are in the cabins with balconies. We were tested one day after docking in Ocean Cay, MSC says it was just routine measures but I’m not convinced it was. We haven’t been tested since. I am not sure how many people are actually on board the ship right now but 200 seems to be a lot of isolation. Stay safe and be happy!

Everyone that got on board on the 26th were not tested until the 28th,  Covid had two whole days to circulate,  when covid was detected Divina started isolating people,  they test the crew every two days but passengers have not been tested since the 28th when covid was discovered onboard to see if there is still an issue,  with two days to circulate freely before being detected, there has to be more covid aboard than they are aware of.  If they  test passengers I am sure that the number or cases would go up,  Davina don't want to test passenger as any positive test would have to be declared and added to the number that they are declaring to authorities and would cause issues in future ports of call.  The question that should be asked is why did'nt they test all new guest at the port of Miami?  Why allow them onboard for two days and then test them?

There is an interesting article on cruisehive just been published about Divina,  if you read it it sound like one big excuse for not keeping their passengers safe,  who,  with supposedly passenger safety as a priority would wait for 2 days into a cruise before testing around 1000 new passengers.

We are on the MSC Divina for the second half of a back to back from Miami in December 26.  Knowing that Aruba had cancelled other cruise lines for a small percentage of COVID onboard, and that Divina had positive COVID back to back passengers, we requested a risk assessment so we could potentially cancel the second half of the trip.  The staff denied there was any risk of cancelation of ports and refused our disembarkment. One we set sale, the ship demanded an antigen test, and soon informed us that Jamaica denied is entry.  I soon noticed the ship sailing due West. The staff denied that fact, and took down the live ship tracker channel from the TV selection.  The Captain later announced that all ports were cancelled and we would spend days at sea and reroute to Mexico.....with no compensation.  MSC knew the risk, but his it...collecting premium fares for low quality ports hardly worth leaving the ship. Avoid MSC.

Have you read the article they put up yesterday,  its just one big excuse!  and a lot of trumpet blowing about MSC and how well they are coping,  whoever put the article up needs to come aboard and see the reality.  Its a shame they don't inform their guests about the situation onboard.
