  1. Ours was 5 days before we set sail. But this was also a during the restart of cruising at the end of July last year, so they were playing catch-up.
  2. It’s still called a vaccinated cruise, but you have to jump through a lot more testing and being billed for it when you get an exemption. Only 5% of the cruisers are unvaccinated.
  3. We got religious exemptions back in August for the madien voyage of the Madi Gras. Now they don’t offer religious exemptions anymore. We got the exemption in an email the Monday before in sailing off on that Friday. We hurried and scheduled a couple PCR test. It was torment waiting so long not knowing if you would be exempted or not. I called a couple times before hand and they couldn’t tell me anything. We heard that exemptions go in order of how much that you paid for the cruise. We tried a few months later for another cruise getting a really good deal price wise and our exemptions were declined within a couple weeks of booking it, a week after applying for the exemptions. Our ages were 61 & 64.
  4. I think all vaccine requirements should be dropped. It’s crazy to go through the exemption process and not knowing if you will be able to cruise or not. We have a religious exemptions that they are not taking anymore. We had to wait up to the last week 4 days from our sailing date in August of last week before we got the approval email statement. The next cruise that we booked the exemption request wasn’t accepted a couple month prior. We now both have had Covid that has almost 20 times more immunity than people that had the vaccination. The CDC wants to keep control over people despite the science. We have an Alaskan cruise coming up that shouldn’t even be considered to have a vaccination because we are sailing to Alaska that doesn’t have any requirements. Of course they have to hit one port of a foreign country (Canada) for a “delegated cruise requirement” but we just wouldn’t get off the ship for that port. What’s the problem?
