I just received notification that changes to my upcoming cruise on Jan 31, 2025 on the ship Prima have been made and the price of the cruise has been reduced but I would NOT be given money back but given credit for any future cruise. I paid money but they will not give me back my money. This entire process has been handled very poorly from the communication standpoint. They will be keeping $1,700 of my money. When you look at the entire ship NCL could be holding several million in paid cruise credits. For example, if the average refund for this price reduction is $1,500 and there are 3,000 passengers, that would be $4,500,000 that NCL would be holding of passengers' money and forcing them to take another cruise to get their money back. I don't have an exact count, but it is a lot of money.
Is there anyone else taking this same cruise and in the same situation? Maybe something will change as I just received the phone call on this. Has anyone else had this problem?
