It's interesting to hear other cruiser's views on a cruise line/ship. We were on HAL a number of years ago (Alaska) and enjoyed it although I have to agree way too many walkers and oxygen bottles! We also cruised once on Princess (West Coast) and felt that it did not come near the "premium" cruise line they say they are. The buffet in particular was the worst experience we have ever had in about 20 cruises. Suffice to say we won't be going on Princess again. We are older now and we have another HAL cruise booked (Rotterdam) so we will see how it compares. For reference our favorite cruise line is Oceania followed by NCL. These days the coffee is really bad on most ships (they use concentrate) forcing you to buy a coffee package or pay at Starbucks etc.
