  1. One thing I would like to add regarding fun times news letter or hard copy literature, in general... Just getting back from cruising on the Carnival Dream Cruise on March 25th, I liked having a printed copy of everything that was going on? The Hub app did not work correctly for us most of the time? I didn't like having to search through everything when it did work. I like to have a copy to make notes on and highlight events we're interested in. Plus, I don't want to use my phone to keep up with things going on? I brought along a dive watch I have in case I needed it, and I'm glad I did! It is a Luminox Seal watch with glow in the dark face and it has manual hands, instead of digital or smart watches. It stayed on ship time the entire trip, therefore, eliminating any confusion when traveling to different time zones and having to wait for a phone to update? Very handy to have for that and it would serve well in the possibility that the power or lights went off.
  2. We just returned from our cruise March 25th. Stops included Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozemel. We didn't experience any issues in Costa Maya or Belize. We didn't get off at Cozemel, simply because we wanted to stay on board to just relax and rest up? Both places we got off, we remained aware of our surroundings and visited the shops and attractions right there in the welcome villages. I made it known that we would not be traveling(walking, taxing, or riding outside the gates, for any reason. Being former military, I did not want to put ourselves at risk of anything that could be confused through lost translations or being misinformed, in any way? There were no incidents or problems that we experienced. I would advise other's to be cautious but no need to be concerned to the point that you miss out on visiting these places, just be aware of your surroundings and always keep your ship in eye sight, if possible. We also gave ourselves plenty of time for returning back to the ship no later than an hour or two before time to be back on board. Many things can come into play while trying to get back to the ship that could possibly cost you precious time that you may have not planned on.
  3. My wife and I were on our Carnival cruise at the same time, on the "DREAM," and it was an amazing time! It may not be the newest of the fleet, but it was nice and very comfortable.
  4. My wife and I just returned from a 6 day Carnival Cruise on the Dream Cruise ship that left from Galveston and returned on March 25th. With stops in Costa Maya, Belize, and Cozemel, we had no issues while on the cruise or stops. Living in Arkansas, we drove to Galveston to board. Other than the normal Houston traffic, we didn't experience any more traffic slow downs than any other drive to and from. Check ahead regarding traffic updates, weather, temperature, etc before your drive is the best advice I could recommend.
