  1. I agree and with Lillian, I would be upset as well. We spend a lot of time and money planning and taking a cruise, what itinery's, ports of call, time of year. ect. We are not flexible. San Juan is in my opinion one of the best ports of call in the Carribean. The port is right in the heart of Old San Juan, and you have lots of options to enjoy the city, the Forts, the towering cliffs overlooking the Forts, the pristine waves. We have done 2 cruise's to San Juan and that's the main reason we booked those cruises. Now to side step to Nassau???? Boring, boring, boring. The cruise lines should at least inform with detals why they changed ports of call and should offer a refund or another cruise. We had a short 5 day cruise last year, and they changed our Itinery, from Grand Turk to Bimini. I did not care that much since it was our first cruse after Covid, where we had 6 cancelled cruises. Turns out Bimini is the worst port of call of anywhere we have been, every thing is an up charge and about the only thing there is boring beaches. Would never book a cruise with Bimini as a port again. By the way, our last cruise on Carnival Pride was understaffed, and the worst prepared food in the main dining area we have had on a Carnival ship.
  2. Check out the App Get Your Guide, check out whats avalable in Lisbon, very affordable, and always do the skip the line, you get served first. Note, we stayed one night in Lisbon, and took a taxi from the cruise port. There will be hundreds of people trying to get taxis, so plan on waiting a whle, we finally got one after about 45 minutes.
  3. Carinvals cheers package is simply to make money under the pretense they are controllng the amount of drinks you can have. Carnval's reasoning for not allowng you to bring booze on board is they don't want guests to over drink. But they will let you over drink ,15 per day if you give them $120 per day if you have a spouse along, both have to purchase the Cheer pack. anyone who consumes 15 drinks in a 12 hr day, will be intoxicated, fall down drunk if they consume it one after another. So it all comes down to money. Our last cruise to Mediterranean on Carinval Pride, we bought a bottle of Jack for $95, and now they stopped that, because they can make more on with Cheers, or just buying at the bar @ $12 per simple drink. We have been on 7 Carnival cruises and have sucessfully smuggled in a minimum of 5 fiths/ liquor every time. Why? They charge to much to drink on the ship, simple. markmmorel@gmail.com
