Self tests permitted prior to boarding at Port of Barcelona?

We leave for an 8 day cruise next week from Barcelona. Weve been told we must have negative test with 72 hrs of sailing even though we have vax cards. Wondering if self administered tests will be accepted. Have gotten too many different answers from customer service and others. We leave for spain this Sunday.
