  1. for labour, I suggest you contact individual cruise lines to find any jobs like waiter or cabin steward they may have. As a dog handler do you have a license ? Try security companies. What country do you live in ?
  2. Yes, I've read something like that on other forums before. I'm inclined to think like you and if you get onboard credit, then you should be free to spend it as you like but at the end of the day, they ( the cruise line ) make the rules.
  3. Don't know but imagine it will be fairly busy. What ship are you on ? Where are you going to ? Have a great cruise and let your kids have fun in the kids club whilst you enjoy whatever else you fancy 🥳 🥳 😎
  4. It's been awhile since I cruised with Carnival but i do remember there did seem to be a bit of wastage. Other cruise lines do it better with someone giving out the ice cream. As for the entrees, from what I've heard some guests were trying all the dishes without eating that much of them....that's ( in my opinion ) ridiculous. I'm all for trying another dish if it looks good and you can ask for just a half portion and Carnival are not stopping you doing that. It's not like your going to starve but some people think that because they've paid for the cruise they are entitled to take as much food as they want and leave half of it on a plate. No wonder Carnival have said this. That said, I'm sad if its true you can't get a late night pizza anymore
  5. @wmrad007 yes I can understand why you're upset and as a consumer you have the right to inform others if you are upset explaining your views ....as you have on here + also if you are unhappy with Carnival then just don't cruise with them again. One thing I'd like to add ....Don't go on your cruise with negative thoughts and feeling annoyed. You just have to accept what has happened has happened and whilst on your cruise, be determined to enjoy every minute of your cruise, relax, have fun and enjoy the sun, keep a smile on your face and hopefully you'll feel a lot better 🥳 🥳 😎
  6. Well I hadn't actually heard of the Apothic wine brand before and I understand it comes from California but what I really find interesting is that it can be kept in the fridge just like a white wine, whereas most red wines are better not in a fridge.
  7. Thank you for such good clear information and I have put the church on a short list of "must go there" places. Have taken note about pickpockets on trams & elsewhere. What I am also interested in is .... "what to do in the evening" . Of course there will be some great restaurants to dine in the city, so has anyone got any suggestions for a evening in Lisbon if I decide to stay off the ship ?
  8. Has anyone stopped off at Lisbon ? My cruise will be stopping there for an overnight stay so I'll have plenty of time to explore the city. I believe you can walk off the ship straight into the city from one of the two cruise ports, so hopefully I will be at Santa Apolónia. Is it really worth getting a hop on hop off bus or is it better to mix walking with public transport ? The places I think I need to visit are Baxia, Belem, St Georges castle for the views, narrow streets of Alfama, Rossio square & the Santa Justa Lift. Anyone got any other suggestions ?
  9. yeah, maybe I should have used the word " limited " instead of restrict 🤔 😄
  10. It seems to be a big improvement but of course you can't put LNG on the older cruise ships + ships using LNG need bigger storage tanks which might have a slight impact on the number of staterooms on the ship.
  11. Sad to say but 2 other princess ships in Australia regions are having issues with Covid-19 Majestic Princess was quarantined by Tahiti with over 100 cases of covid-19 two weeks ago Coral Princess was also reported of having about 100 cases of Covid Have to say having cruised on Regal Princess & Sky Princess earlier this year in the UK, they seemed to have very good covid procedures also having hand washing before you entered the buffet and we felt safe and didn't hear of any Covid cases onboard
  12. 9 news Australia says that 400 guests on Quantum of the Seas may be positive with Covid-19 Royal Caribbean refuses to confirm the number or state how many people are infected but reports say the Covid-19 decks are overflowing. Ovation of the Seas is also reported to have over 100 cases of Covid -19. There are many comments on twitter but as I don't look at twitter I can't confirm .
  13. I've just heard that the maiden voyage has just sold out completely
  14. I've known others, where one person doesn't drink and the rules say they both have to purchase the drinks package. The trouble is that Carnival seem to think that too many people would take advantage so won't sell a single package. Yet now I've heard they restrict your drinks to 15 a day, whatever package you are on. Is that really true ? I think this may well lead to extra smuggling of booze onboard......what do others think ?
